catch up

sorry for being so behind on the henderson notes...

but here are a couple things that happened over the weekend.

the weather was soooo nice we were outside all weekend... jord and i even got dad to play hop scotch with us!
so what are hendersons known for doing almost every saturday? the hogle zoo...

muki the gorilla died the other tuesday, i think, so it was a good thing that we went on saturday to go and see her.

merrick slept the whole time... but when it came time to eat...

the train decided to go by... meaning the bench that i was sitting on was stuck in a crowd of people standing on either side of the tracks waiting for the gates to go back up! so, we had some company for lunch!

and we stopped at sugarhouse park on sunday to feed the geese...

we had enough...

we dumped the old pop up, virus infested computer and moved up in the world.

say hello to my new computer!

best buy has great deals right now! and a couple of satisfied customers!

now back to work!

i don't want to miss a thing!

today was my first day back at work. it was so hard! i woke up this morning at 5:15am and started getting ready for work... at 6 my little man woke up with nothing but smiles! i got him fed and ready to go... he was still awake when we got to the sitters house at 6:30... i hugged him and kissed him and loved him all over, wrapped him up and laid him in his pack n play, and went to work...

it seemed like it took for ever to get to work... i got there at 7am and went straight to my desk and plastered it with pictures of my little heart throb to stare at all day!

it was so hard not being with him... i worked as fast as i could and was out of there by 3pm. i raced over to get him... man i missed my fella!

he did great today at the sitters... slept, ate and smiled.

i can't wait for saturday... please come fast!

what i hope for my boy...i found this the other day... it was just so tender!

2 months

i apologize!, our computer was sick... but now we're back!

so here are merricks 2 month old stats...
height: 24 in (88%)
weight: 10 lbs 12 oz (24%)
head: 39.5 cm (41%)

he got his shots today too... the kid was tough! his face went bright red and he looked like he was going to be a screamer, but he was 'koa'... i guess we named him right! not a tear.

some more things about ke koa...
he loves taking a shower with daddy
eats a ton
has slept through the night... once.
hates getting in his car seat... but loves the car.
is always talking.
loves nap time with mommy
he has got strong neck muscles
all smiles, even when he is sick
loves to stick out his tongue

an evening of crying...

i'm sorry littlte man you didn't get your solid morning nap three days in a row...
i would hate your car seat too!

nightmares or happy fluffy dreams?

so the other morning this is what i woke to find on kaseys side of the bed...

was he running from the law after committing a horrible crime? was his body engulfed in flames and had engaged in the 'stop, drop and roll' routine? or was he dancing and singing on a hill side europe? i'll never know...

merrick these days

merrick has quite the explosive personality these days...

(poor guy has baby acne cause mommy eats too much dairy... sorry, working on that son...)

he and i take his second nap together in my bed before daddy comes home from work to wake us up... when he does merrick wakes up with a smile like he usually does (except today... a bit grumpy). he loves flashing those dimples... one day i'll catch it on film... one good looking kid! the best is when he smiles in his sleep... and even lets out a chuckle with it!

"what are you dreaming about son?"

and he also does a blue steal look from zoolander (the puckered lips) when he is getting ready to fut & poop... then once this task is completed he laughs and smiles at himself...

total boy.

which brings me to this photo... kasey was holding him yesterday after work, when merrick started to get real fussy. i took him thinking he needed a bum change and when i was getting to it i noticed this...









yeah...

i called kasey in to check the damage, he started checking his own shirt for damage!
don't worry, we got it all cleaned up, and dad is going to be okay...

introducing mytumbleweeds

well, i thought that with this being my 100th post,
that i would introduce mytumbleweeds on etsy. yes yes, i set up shop finally...
i have only a handful of my things up just to see how it goes.
with magnets, rings and earrings on there now...
and frames and flower presses (hopefully i'll have those on this weekend...)
